Tour start times are 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m., so you can choose the option that best fits your day. You can book this tour with or without transportation, depending on your needs, and payment is based on the type of reservation, including number of people and services selected.

Enjoy an early-morning birdwatching tour in the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area, when birds are most active and the forest is at its quietest. With a specialized guide, you will explore selected spots to observe a variety of tropical birds in their natural habitat, ideal for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers. The tour starts at 5:00 a.m., with flexible duration “from 5 a.m. onwards” depending on the experience you choose. You can book this tour with or without transportation, and payment is based on the type of reservation, number of people, and services included

Discover the secrets of the rainforest after dark! When the sun sets, the tropical forest of the Manuel Antonio and Quepos region transforms into a completely different world. More than 60% of Costa Rica's wildlife becomes active at night, making this safe and thrilling excursion in a specialized private reserve a must-do for nature lovers and families.

Equipped with flashlights and led by your expert local guide, we will scan the trails to find exotic tree frogs (including the famous red-eyed tree frog), sleeping tropical birds, fascinating insects, tarantulas, snakes, and active nocturnal mammals in their natural habitat.

📋 Booking Policies & Rate Structure

Because each experience is custom-tailored to our guests, our budgets vary depending on the type of activity, the age of the participants, and the chosen entry ticket modality.

To secure your date in our calendar and guarantee the availability of your private local guide, we require a booking deposit in advance. This deposit will be deducted from your total balance, and the remaining amount is safely paid on the day of the tour. Upon quoting, we will provide you with the exact deposit amount required based on your selected tours.

Our current rate structure is organized as follows:

☀️ 1. National Park Tour (Daytime)

• Adults:

  • $55 USD per person with the official park entrance ticket included.

  • $35 USD per person if you already have your own park entrance tickets.

• Children (Ages 5 to 11):

  • $40 USD per child with the official park entrance ticket included.

  • $20 USD per child if you already have your own park entrance tickets.

• Infants (Ages 0 to 4):

  • No guiding fee for our tour. However, if you choose our all-inclusive package, you will only need to cover the cost corresponding to their mandatory physical entry ticket required by the national park.

🌙 2. Night Tour (Wildlife Spotting Walk)

• Adults: $45 USD per person (includes the entrance fee to the observation site).

• Children (Ages 5 to 12): $30 USD per child (includes the entrance fee to the observation site).

🦜 3. Birdwatching Tour (Specialized Birding)

• General Rate: $100 USD per person.

• Location: This specialized birding tour takes place outside of Manuel Antonio National Park, at a strategic birding hotspot located just 20 minutes away from Quepos.

• Includes: Round-trip transportation service, professional guiding with high-power spotting scopes/optical gear, and a traditional local breakfast.

🌿 General Information for Your Visit

To fully enjoy your natural adventure in the paradise of Manuel Antonio, it is very important to understand the current operational logistics, official hours, and strict conservation regulations. As Costa Rica's most popular protected area, following these guidelines ensures a safe, smooth, and seamless experience.

🗓️ Opening Hours

• Operating Days: Open from Wednesday to Monday.

• Weekly Closure: The park is CLOSED EVERY TUESDAY. This mandatory closure gives the local wildlife an absolute day of rest and allows for essential trail maintenance.

• Daily Schedule: From 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We highly recommend booking the early morning time slots for the best wildlife spotting and to avoid the peak heat of the day.

📍 Meeting Point & Logistics

Our personalized tours gather near the main entrance of the national park.

• Exact Location: We will meet right outside the main gate, specifically 20 meters from the primary park entrance.

• Additional Details: Once you book your tour, your local guide Rafael (the only certified guide under this name in the area) will provide you with exact geographic directions, visual maps, or pinpoint coordinates so you can find him easily upon arrival.

⚠️ Strict SINAC Regulations (Protecting the Environment)

The National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC) enforces strict checkpoints at the gate to preserve the delicate ecosystems and prevent wildlife from altering their natural diet:

• Food Ban: Entering the park with any kind of food, snacks, or packed meals is strictly prohibited. The only exception is food prepared exclusively for infants.

• Single-Use Plastics: Disposable plastic water bottles, plastic bags, and straws are completely banned. You must bring your drinking water in reusable bottles (such as aluminum, glass, or silicone flasks).

• Prohibited Items: Pets, drones, cigarettes or vapes (the park is a smoke-free zone), alcoholic beverages, beach umbrellas, sports balls, and camping tents are not allowed inside.

• Baggage Inspection: Park rangers conduct a mandatory inspection of all bags and backpacks at the main entrance to ensure compliance with these rules.

• Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes (sneakers or hiking boots).

• Swimwear and a beach towel if you wish to enjoy the pristine beaches inside the park after your guided tour finishes.

• Eco-friendly sun protection and insect repellent.
